EDGE ANALYSIS - SPARX VS BLACKSTONE SHARPENING

3D Laser Mapping

Competitive Edge Hockey is putting subjective feel aside, and using millions of points of data to prove who has the best edges in hockey. We compared a traditional Sparx Machine home sharpener, to a Blackstone Sharpening using a yellow wheel and fine shine oil for it's final pass.  The edge on the Sparx is rolled over, and "burnt" while the Edge off the Blackstone machine is Crisp/keen, and "sharp".  If you are sharpening at home with a Sparx you would need to use a deeper cut to get the same bite on the ice. Using a Blackstone, you can achieve perfect sharp edges. You can go shallower on the hollow, which is faster! This is how you gain a competitive edge over everyone else!
